

The “elder statesman” of the Punctum crew, Jay has been taking photographs since he was about eight, though his professional photographic career is somewhat more recent. He brings a wealth of experience to the co-operative, including many years spent as a journalist on Fleet Street.
He has always photographed people, specialising in informal, location portraits, but for his own personal work he favours flowers. “They don’t complain about having to keep still or it being too cold,” he says “and they’re cheaper than models.”
